Ayeyearwady Foundation has awarded to caregivers of health workers from Waibargi hospital their monthly salary as a bonus each with appreciation for their great efforts during the fighting against COVID-19 in Myanmar. These caregivers, as doctors, nurses and other health care workers, constantly were involved with all the process of the COVID-19 outbreak response at the front line for 75 positive cases in Waibargi hospital.
With guidance by U Zaw Zaw, Chairperson of Ayeyarwady Foundation, the foundation members had a meeting with officials from the hospital and discussed for awarding monthly salary as bonus to all 227 caregivers (120 in house and 157 as volunteers) of the hospital respectively with cash contribution of 37.5 million MMK.
The foundation totally aided 107.5 million MMK to Waibargi hospital until now after U Zaw Zaw, Chairman of Ayeyarwady Foundation, at first contributed MMK 50 million MMK worth medical aids including medical supplies, hospital equipment and preventive materials to Waibargi Hospital on 18 March 2020 and further contribution of 20 million MMK on 18 April.
Ayeyarwady Foundation had also donated the fund for Health Insurance worth 500 Million MMK for Caregivers in Myanmar, who are actively working relentlessly across the country to contain and fight against the COVID-19 spread.
