In the year 2020 of Covid-19 pandemic in Myanmar, Ayeyarwady Foundation has collaborated with Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) to do its utmost to combat the pandemic. Ayeyarwady Foundation has contributed a total of 21.2 billion kyats from 15.5 billion kyats by Ayeyarwady Foundation and 5.7 billion kyats by external donors. Expenditures will be audited and disclosed in a transparent manner.
Through a combination of valuable human resources, Ayeyarwady Center has treated more than 10,000 patients and tested more than 20,000 for the Covid-19 virus. Despite relentless efforts, more than 270 lives were inevitably lost, but nearly 9,000 patients, including emergency patients, were able to return home healthy. With Ayeyarwady Foundation, many doctors, nurses, volunteers and devout donors have been collaborating with a humanitarian perspective.
