With the aim to develop the country’s education, health and sports sectors and continuous support, Ayeyarwady Foundation built and donated medical clinics for 5 villages in Ayeyarwady Region which have difficulty in transport inaccessibility.

The handing over ceremony of medical clinics to Yay Paw Yay Le, Ka Tha Win, Nat Sel, Kyone Ka Yan and Kyone Kyi Wah of Pan Ta Naw Towonship was held on June 27 at Basic Education Middle School (Sub) in Yay Paw Yay Le. “We’re really thankful for donating such new medical clinics to the villages which have difficulty in transport inaccessibility and I believe that these donations would be appreciated for generations to come.” said Pa Do Man Nyein Maung who is the central executive member of Karen National Union.

“The previous medical clinic is so old and it cannot resist to harsh weather especially when it rains heavily then it is not comfortable for the patients who give birth. But now it is much more convenient in such cases with this newly donated medical clinic.” added Daw Sein Thein, a midwife who lives in Ka Tha Win village.
