Donation of a new school to Mon State

The opening ceremony of a new 5 room-storey Basic Education Middle School measuring 30”x120” and it is located at Htein Pin village, Tha Htone, Mon State donated by Ayeyarwady Foundation, which has been continuously supporting the education and health sectors, was held on 11th Feb, 2015.

The school is located in Htein Pin village, about 7 miles away from Yangon-Mawlamyine Highway and about 400 households located. At the ceremony, Ayeyarwady Foundation provided additional fund for re-constructing a lake for the drinking water supply of ThoneEain Su village, pre-elementary school building for Win Phone village and donated the sport related necessities such as sport wears and footballs for local children in order to enhance the football and health activities.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Security and Border Affairs of Mon State Col Htay Myint Aung, KNU’s 1st Brigade Commander General Saw Kyaw Lin and U Saw Palae’, local people, teachers, students, guests, Ayeyarwady foundation’s Chairman U Zaw Zaw and management people.

In addition, Ayeyarwady Foundation built and donated four new school buildings in Shwe Yaung Pya, A Win Kyi, Mi Kyaung Ai, Kyauk Taung remote villages located in Bee Lin, Mon state in 2013. In 2014, three new school buildings were built and donated in Thone Eain Su, Sisone Matcha and Win Phone remote villages located in Tha Htone. Besides, a rural-community clinic was also donated for Win Phone village.
